I have always felt so grateful that I grew up knowing my cousins. Even though they were states away, it was a priority for my family to visit every year and, in doing so, wonderful relationships were formed that I still cherish today. Thanks, mom and dad! When the opportunity came up to photograph a family of five young cousins as a gift for their grandfather, I could not wait! As we all know, our busy lives can make it challenging to get everyone together in the same place at the same time. When you can make it happen, it’s so important to photograph it! For this family, one of the five was in town for a visit all the way from Hungary, which made for an even more special gathering. I met up with them at their wonderful lake house on a gorgeous fall afternoon and from the minute I walked in the door to witness the flurry of activity, I felt right at home. Ranging in age from 8 to 18, they are a beautiful and fun-loving group that made our session such a blast! Watching them interact was pure joy and brought back so many wonderful memories for me with my own cousins. Here’s a peek at our time together.
